How I got here

Picked up Rails early (2008), back when CakePHP was still considered safe.
Co-founded a local Ruby meetup. Ran workshops, mentored juniors.
Spent a decade as hands-on CTO of a babysitter marketplace. Code, infra, hiring, and product.
Have stayed close to the code ever since.

AI coding tools, mostly. Most of my recent side projects are excuses to see how far Claude Code and Codex can get on their own:

etl-pg-ch — tiny bash ETL framework for syncing Postgres to ClickHouse, extracted from Kidsout.

Most go nowhere. That's fine.
